babycomeround Posted February 26 Posted February 26 5 hours ago, IBeMe said: a part of Taylor's charm is that she isn't a polished performer. She just performs her songs as best she can and we love that as fans. Also we are there for the music itself and maybe staging and visuals and stuff like that (which she serves) and her voice sounds great in this latest tour especially. She also manages to create an intimate feeling even in a stadium which is a skill in of itself. Not every artist has to serve choreo or immense stage presence (and she does serve stage presence in her more relatable way). She's confident on stage and doesnt let it eat her or swallow her in the background. Yes and that's fine, everyone is allowed to enjoy her! It's the rabid fanbase that are defensive to any criticism and would make you believe Taylor is the greatest performer. 3 1
ttsmu Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Imagine paying to see that. I know Swifties have bad taste, but this is too much. 1
period sis Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The thing is, if shes not a dancer, and that's not why her fans like and go see her... then WHY is she dancing ???
BrandNewBrandon Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) An important part of her being able to do a show for over three hours that many nights, attend the Grammys, fly to Japan and play shows, fly the day after to the Super Bowl to her orchestrated beau to flaunt her love to the cameras for no reason other than to FORCE her brand onto people who are like "go away" and to fly to Australia almost directly afterwards to play shows is because she's not a skilled entertainer and does less than the bare minimum for choreography. It would be impossible for Beyoncé to stand onstage and perform for three hours like that while traveling back and forth in a short period of time. So folks', be glad your faves aren't recording + releasing albums as frequently or performing like that because that would mean they are below-average vocalists with no dancing skills. Cheers Posted February 27 Posted February 27 It's just funny because Swifties love dragging other girls performances dfubfhidjkn; 1

That sounds like capitalist issue. No one is forcing her to tire herself and exploit her fans like that and all for what? To be on some touring list that another act will come along and top it. And it’s funny you’re using beyonce and dancing as en example because singers shouldn’t put their voice through that kind of schedule either 1 1
Dragonbeast Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) 4 hours ago, Blue Rose said: It’s hilarious how every time she starts a new leg she goes viral for her horrible performing skills Well, most concert goers don't really care about dancing when they attend concerts. The top grossing concerts after Taylor's Eras Tour are from Elton John, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and U2. I don't see anyone here criticize Elton John, Chris Martin or Bono for their poor/lack of dancing skills or for their "horrible performing skills"? Edited February 27 by Dragonbeast
Fleahive Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I think people keep forgetting about half the audience is below 18. That does play a part in “who would pay to see this” lol. Anyways the tweet was about how easy the job is for the dancers and I didn’t think of it until now. Do you even have to be a professional? I feel like anybody can audition and snatch up a spot with those 1,2 steps lmaoooo 1

NoOneDiesFromLove Posted February 27 Posted February 27 these miserable people it must be the worst trying to **** talk the most successful musician out there OT I had the op blocked
Edit0rz Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Gworl. This is not the drag you think it is. Everyone knows Swifties go to the concert for the songwriting. They don’t care about dancing, singing on key, or any discernible performance ability…she has presence!!! Get with the times, talent is irrelevant to success. 2

ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted February 27 ATRL Moderator Posted February 27 9 hours ago, AxelFox said: No choreography, no fierce looks. Yet an outstanding performance and everyone sings her praises. Again, it's not that Taylor is not good at choreography. She's not good at literally anything that a live act is supposed to do on a stage. This is a random comparison considering Taylor can also do a really solid acoustic performance, and does every night on tour. 1
