Death & Decay Posted December 1 Posted December 1 It's all about what you're looking for in a performer. I'd rather pay to see Taylor than Beyonce. I'm not saying Beyonce is terrible by any means. I just like Taylor more. 2 3
Sabrina Carpenter Posted December 3 Posted December 3 the jobless essays in this thread and we're still consuming Taylor's music, now what?

Like y'all can complain all you want, but The Eras Tour is a spectacle. Other artists can barely perform for 1.5 hrs, yet you are criticizing her for performing a 3+ hr set every single time? The hate and insecurity is real. Well that might be because they're singing or dancing their ass off? While Taylor's singing is pretty easy most of the times and her dancing... welp. I still don't think there's anything wrong with that or with what's on the clip, not everyone's supposed to be a vocal powerhouse or a dancer. I suppose her strength is her lyricism and her relatability.
Le Grande Posted December 3 Posted December 3 (edited) I'm yet to see a video where she doesn't look like a bag of potatoes on stage. Edited December 3 by Le Grande
Capris Groove Posted December 4 Posted December 4 (edited) Taylor ain't a dancer mama. Everyone knows that, including her. And if you put Beyoncé in a room with a pen and paper and told her to write a song by herself, you'd get something at a 6th grade reading level, like her letter to Michelle Obama. Which is why she almost never appears anywhere unscripted. They both have different strengths. Edited December 4 by Capris Groove 1 1 3

Which is why she almost never appears anywhere unscripted. They both have different strengths. This is false and borderline racist. Also a big chunk of Taylor's music is actually written for 6th graders, which is why she has the most fans and sells the most, she caters to the most powerful demographic in terms of consumption - children/teens. The ******* nerve . Also you don't see Beyonce cosplaying as a poet, but you do see Taylor cosplaying as both a poet and a performer/dancer. So maybe she is not that aware that she can't dance. I like Taylor, but if we have to compare Beyonce as a live performer to Taylor as a songwriter, Beyonce is LEAGUES ahead. Not that this comparison makes any sense, but for some reason y'all think Taylor is equally as good/impressive being a songwriter as Beyonce is being a performer and that's delusional af. Beyonce is the best at what she does, Taylor is not even CLOSE. Just 2 examples - Lana and Lorde are both better songwriters than Taylor and the fact that she significantly altered her artistry because of how much both of them influenced her proves it. Taylor's music has been Lana/Lorde influenced for WAY too long for swifties to be calling her the best songwriter, while consuming her Lana/Lorde influenced art for 10 years now. I hate to drag Taylor, cuz I actually like her, and to be honest that's not really drag, it's the truth. The only thing she wins at is sales and charts and as impressive as that is - it's not the brag y'all think it is. Barbie dolls also sell a lot. McDonalds too. Stans have lost the plot real bad lol. 1 5

I just wish Swifties accepted her mediocrity, instead of being delusional about it. I legit saw one saying they prefer Taylor's dancing skills over Beyonce Girl, I had an entire argument with a Swiftie here, telling me she was a great performer, and the receipts were tour gross. 2
