I'm sorry to like break it to y'all, but she's top 2 worst singers in the entire industry. Not only can she not sing, her pen is trash. Y'all keep saying, "Oh. Her pen, her pen." Her pen is a crayon. She writes Disney Channel songs, okay. They all sound like they were written for first graders. And she can't dance! She also can't dance. She can't dance, she can't sing and her songs are written for children. It's giving temper tantrum Which is ironic given your argument that Taylor is for first graders 3 1 2 2
Popular Post ToraeGilt Posted November 30 Popular Post Posted November 30 this video is proof as to why why she's successful. She's mediocre and a lot of her base can relate to that. Even her writing is subpar. Y'all just try to prop it up because everything else she does is average 14 5 5 7

Starshine Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The way these are the only Taylor performances I remember including the Reputation one with the fan in the background serving choreo. 5 1
The Music Industry Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Aren't y'all tired of posting the same video over and over again? Who needs fans when you have haters who already can't get your name out of their mouths and keeps you viral every other day 7

Beyoncé is the complete package and anyone with a brain knows this. Y'all just say anything. This might shock you, but being an artist is not just about your vocal range or your ability to hit a dance move. That's not enough to have the 'complete package' as an artist. Beyoncé might be more skilled in those aspects, but Taylor eats her up in terms of lyricism, story telling, melodic craftsmanship, instrumental proficiency, solo authorship and overall artistic autonomy, emotional connection with the audience with authenticity/vulnerability, and fan engagement. The 'complete package' isn't a monolith, it's about excelling in your strengths and capitalizing on them. And Taylor is in a league of her own when it comes to many aspects. That's why she's still out here being the biggest artist in the world 18 years in her career while y'all argue in circles and have weekly temper tantrums over her omnipresence in pop culture. Pheromosa Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Beyonce always being mentioned in these Taylor threads really confirms it all tbh 3 1
BrokenMachine Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) I'm more worried about her still using the same playback track for this song Edit: oh wait, some are saying it's the same video Edited November 30 by BrokenMachine 1

It's like they don't have anything else to criticize her for. Nah, it's because the GP can't remember anything else from her. Demi goes viral the whole time for the same turkey thing, P!nk goes viral for the same So What routine the whole time. Taylor? She always goes viral for bad dancing 5 2
Marla Singer Posted November 30 Posted November 30 There are people who unironically think that this is the greatest pop star of the century, and had racist meltdowns because she was "only" put at #2. 2 6 2
RoseBud Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Any clips out there of Bouncy dancing badly ??? No secret but Taylors shows are auto-tuned.

Great808 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 When you have more bad performances than good ones you really suck as an artist and even more so as a performer 6 1
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted November 30 ATRL Moderator Posted November 30 Not this again Taylor isn't famous for her dancing and that's not why people go to her shows. People act obtuse because they want to drag her. 7 2 2

She can't dance, she can't sing and her songs are written for children. That might be your opinion, but millions of people, critics, other artists (including some legendary ones) disagree with you. She's been lauded for her songwriting since she started, even got signed as a songwriter before she got signed as an artist. Has she cheapened her songwriting at times to try and get GP appealing hits? Absolutely. But the vast majority of discography outweighs those songs. Like, I don't see how songs like "this is me trying", "the lakes", "ivy", "tolerate it", "Fortnight", "The Albatross" etc are written for children 7 1 3
Broadcastthatboom13 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Some of yall are so miserable I have to laugh

Pretending it's 2008 when she's on the Fearless World Tour out of tune the entire show just further shows you're stuck in the past. I really don't have any issue with Taylor, but you can hear better singers down at the local karaoke place. Just because she's often on pitch doesn't make her a great singer.
Arcade ring Posted November 30 Posted November 30 People are trying so hard to convince themselves her success is unearned. You just have to accept it. 1
