not everything has to have a message or be Taylor swift song

Didn't Taylor get crucified for "Me" and the Spelling Is Fun meme for being childish?

She did, and even moreso for YNTCD. Swifties talk about this all the time, she was on the verge of being a legacy act/reliec of the Obama era until the pandemic forced her to create folklore.

Yeah, I agree with that tweet. What reason is there to stan Katy Perry apart from her delivering hits? That seems to be the main reason why people even stanned her in the first place. Even Katy herself became depressed after flopping. She made being a hitmaker her whole identity instead of crafting something unique.

Because people miss the late 00s-early 10s era of big, catchy pop hits and big, colorful music videos. Who do we have now serving that? Taylor? Olivia? Billie? They're just not hitting the same.

Katy fell off because the person who wrote and produced all her hits was exposed
