LadyDiana Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Does finishing college or getting higher education counts? When yeah then that and I've learned German. Knowing another language really good opens u up for a whole new world of Coulture, music, movies, art ugh I love it. But I believe one can only speak two foreign languages really good. I admire if someone can do more, but I'll prob stay at two 1
popmusicisdead Posted February 25 Posted February 25 i started teaching myself Japanese at 19 and also watercolor painting at 26. teaching yourself a skill is easy if you actually love what you're trying to learn. the biggest enemy is quitting halfway 3
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Started learning German and French and low key want to get back to playing the guitar although I never really learned how to play it properly 1
John Slayne Posted February 25 Posted February 25 i picked up cooking and baking as an adult. i wouldn't say i'm great at either, but i can do enough to survive or bake a little sweet treat for my friends. 1
Curaga Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I’ve been practicing reading hiragana and katakana in my own little way: I have a bunch if Japanese music in my library and I’ve been spending time fixing the metadata to be in the original language for each release, listening to them, and practicing writing them in Google translate. It’s been a fun quick way to get better at recognizing the characters while I work, but I need/want to really sit down and do some formal learning again 3
shinyshimmery Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Money and time management. Life is so expensive, need to budget in order to sleep at night. I learned how to file my own taxes. Want to learn how to do my own oil changes, and tire rotations.
