I thought it was pretty poorly made and void of tension, but I guess many people would disagree. It’s definitely several cuts below Scream

 

i would recommend It Follows (not too scary either), Lamb (creepy/artsy vibes), X (slasher)  or The Black Phone

Pretty small range you’re looking for and can’t say any other movie that hasn’t been mentioned so I’ll double the Night House and Evil Dead Rise mentions

I finished Five Nights at Freddy's. It was different  ill check out ur recommendations

I also rec Barbarian. Ridiculously entertaining. I would go into it not knowing anything - its a wild ride.

While not necessarily horror - Bodies Bodies Bodies is super fun and hilarious.

I also recently enjoyed Hellraiser 2022, although it is a bit gory. Drew Starkley
