Ron Ng Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) So, I've been told many times on this site that Britney just ended JT's career by making him a flop. Well, if that was true, she and Beyoncé are the only early 2000 acts that are still relevant because all of their peers are flopping now chart-wise (JT, P!nk, Kelly, Usher, Avril, Alicia). Do you think they are on the same level now? Would Britney score a smash as big as TEXAS HOLD 'EM if she released? Discuss Edited February 24 by Ron Ng 7 5
Pheromosa Posted February 24 Posted February 24 they're not but they're both higher than a certain somebody and that's all that matters 2 1
BrandNewBrandon Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I do think Britney is the most probable option to smash again in the future from her peers (excluding Beyoncé, of course) because she's just a revered name in pop culture. She would get standing ovations for attending any award show, for example. So she still has that factor about her that could give her a comeback of some sorts. But she's not on Beyoncé's level. She is, however, a level above the rest you mentioned.
Saintlor Posted February 24 Posted February 24 No. I like Britney, and her stans can cling onto her peak from 25 years ago, but she is nowhere near Beyonce. 2
shyboi Posted February 24 Posted February 24 let's smile politely y'all, and proceed to ignore this and future thread of the OP, a well known Britney hater and a very problematic person. Also let's pray they find a job soon. we are rooting for you OP. 4 1 1
Toxic.Latin Posted February 24 Posted February 24 The demand for Britney is RIGHT THERE. Her book is a smash in the US and the world. She needs just good music and take control. Her last musical effort was Glory and it did decent, now imagine her in control ala blackout. 1 2
Princess Aurora Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) If she starts dancing on stage like she used to, now that'll be another story. Edited February 24 by Princess Aurora

joannna Posted February 24 Posted February 24 the answer is clearly no. if she wanted to, she would have obliterated. in the years her heart and soul was in it, no one could touch her. kinda like Taylor now. but she stopped wanting to be a pop star 20 years ago. 1 1

Say whatever that makes you happy sweetie.

If Britney is really above him, why are you so threatened by him so much He still had a 200M+ tour gross in a flop era, how much did Femme Fatale Tour and Piece of Me gross? When was her last solo smash? Oops, it was in 2011. 2
Mr. Stratus Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) No shade but she hadn’t had a true global solo hit since 2011’s FF, and that’s even being generous. Her peers bey and p!nk still make noise musically and can tour. She’s more popular as like a tabloid fixture Edited February 24 by Mr. Stratus
cuteboyzay Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) The obvious answer is No, but why do people keep using Beyoncé as a punching bag for metrics? It’s honestly really weird af and people are constantly using a black woman to do it and it almost feels a little rac*st . Please leave Beyonce out of things like this. Not only that but they are two very successful woman that are the literal PIONEERS for Pop this century. No one else has surpassed them in terms of impact and culture this century.
