That's kinda sad considering it was a tell-all. Your world sounds fascinating. I’d like to go there for a visit 1 3
Bears01 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 The way just about everyone from the TRL generation is a flop has been while Beyonce is sitting pretty at #1 on the global Spotify charts she really is unmatched 1

Relampago. Posted February 24 Posted February 24 He failed to adapt at all as an artist, he was interesting to some in the 00s but that was 2 decades ago. He had a quick resurgence in the early 10s but that was a decade ago. No artistic vision, no versatility, woman hater, and can’t rely as much on good looks. All brutal blows to white mediocrity. 1 7 1

That's kinda sad considering it was a tell-all. You can tell they only cared about Justin by the way they’re buying his new music. It’s not like Britney’s book sold more pure copies than any JT album since 2006 3 minutes ago, LovingDays said: Her 6th album is Circus, according to Google. Comparing a 2000s album to a 2024 album to feel like she's doing anything is... a choice. And his album isn't even out yet. This is so desperate It’s the lead single to his sixth album and the second single to his sixth album. Having to rely on airplay in February to chart and struggling to go Gold with both combined is not something to brag about. If you’re going to brag that’s more successful than Britney, at least wait until his two singles do better than Britney’s last two unpromoted releases 2
Walk_Away21 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I'm still shook he went from popular tour + Cant Stop the Feeling, to Super Bowl, to Man of the Woods MEGA flopping.
PrettyHurts Posted February 24 Posted February 24 boring music + no GP narrative to generate interest MOTW really hurt his image

Terylee Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Looks like Selfish did better numbers than this thanks to the headlines Britney's Selfish gave it. Drown has no hype. Nobody knows it is out. Nobody cares. 4

Dante Silva Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) 57 minutes ago, Anticipating said: To put things into prespective, this is nearly 500K less than 2013 demo MIND YOUR BUSINESS. Is Justin's era doomed? He has no songs on Spotify Global ahead of his album release despite a current TTH placement + heavy payola. What went wrong? People mistakenly think the lyrics are an expression of regret over how he played Britney. They don’t get he is consciously using this song (which he already had in his back pocket) to suggest that he is so regretful of his past conduct towards her that it has made him not just reflective but also suicidal. It is a delicious counter narrative, so delicious that people cannot help but want to lap it up and forgive him, when in reality he feels no remorse at all and is clinically using the story of these (already written) song lyrics to allude to a forgiveness he does not feel for a person he hurt. In reality he is so desperate to maintain his former level of star power (he senses fading), that he is happy for his audience to believe he really is suicidal so winning back the sympathy vote as a tactic to ensure they don’t drop him. It is sick, it is a desperate tactic and he needs to go away and hang his head in shame and do some true soul searching. There is another active thread at the moment (completely unrelated to Justin) discussing method acting. If only more people could see that is exactly what they are buying in to from Justin during the rollout of this promotional single. Edited February 24 by Dante Silva 2 1
Ivan_brit Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Is this a single ?? I tought it was a promo single I actually like this song, well… not surprised since he is not at his best moment with the GP
Aethereal Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) His recording career just burned out like almost every other artist's after 20 years. There is also the long breaks which play a role too but I don't think there would be a radical difference success wise had he been more active in music. He can focus on his touring. El Chico Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Watching Britney and Justin (???) Stan’s fighting in 2024 is just a trip 2
