And the album debuted #2 on BB anyway. When’s ATRL going to understand that different audiences consume music in different ways? 2
Dialamba Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Yeah re entered on BB, he charted 5 albums on BB, sold out world tour. You guys aren’t his audience. 3

Not sure what other parameters for an artist at this stage in their career we’re supposed to be using I was disappointed in the Halftime for reasons that had nothing to do with his own ability but it clearly did its job. 1
Johnny Cash Posted February 23 Posted February 23 He did more than several pop girls in the past, this site and Twitter just have a bias against male performers. 2

A very weak #2 despite the album being discounted and promoted at the most watched halftime show since they started tracking viewers apparently is horrible. No one was talking about it within days after it anymore. 1
Dula Peep Posted February 23 Posted February 23 He was good but besides the roller skates and Alicia’s voice crack it was not that memorable… still better than most of the males that have performed recently though
BeenThereDoneThat Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) I found Usher’s halftime show to be chaotic and didn’t bother watching it again. His low YouTube views are basically showing that the general public didn’t really enjoy it either. I’m a fan of Usher and have tickets for his upcoming tour, but his halftime show left me underwhelmed. Edited February 23 by BeenThereDoneThat
Nashe Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I highly doubt white twinks which stan Dua and Ava Max is his audience. Loved his show. He did all that at 45, 30 years since his debut! Heavy choreo, live singing, a big catalogue of hits, amazing visuals, great guests, the entertainment factor didn't let up. I'm not sure how long people are supposed to be talking about it? lol. it's been 2 weeks... 1
Nippy'sReceipts Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Usher did amazing. Sang live , danced, roller skated, had costume changes, had guests . MJ didn’t even sing live while dancing . You think Taylor Swift can do all of those things?

Joyride Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I'm sure there's a ton of people that enoyed it. you're asking ATRL to be hyped over a mid-40s black man singing R&B in rollerblades...
rmmas Posted February 23 Posted February 23 https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/usher-coming-home/ I thought ATRL was obsessed with Pitchfork 1
ThousandMiles Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Yes it was a non-event. It was Taylor’s super bowl 2
