Josh Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Compared to the likes of the MPGs who performed before him their performances were talked about for days I barely see anyone talking about Usher's performance post-Super bowl. There are more people talking about Kayla Nicole, Alicia being Off Key and Swelce than Usher's actual performance. Was Usher's Super Bowl performance a non event? People were impressed with Rihanna being able to pull off a Super Bowl performance while pregnant Edited February 23 by Josh
Popular Post Katamari Posted February 23 Popular Post Posted February 23 Idk he doesn’t have the mpg chronically online fanbase that help make things seem relevant 16
Space Cowboy Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I have to say yes. But what did they expect? Why would anybody check on Usher in 2024. 2
@michael Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I mean the most noteworthy thing was Alicia’s busted vocals and they hugged a little close 1
Sheep Posted February 23 Posted February 23 He killed it. If it wasn't a big deal for you then it probably wasn't for you.

The struggle to find affordable tickets for his concert begs to differ tbh. I think obviously someone performing pregnant or singing off key is going to get more comments than a performer doing his job. It’s just like how even though Beyonce slayed her SB performance but critique was on her facial expressions & Michelle’s stage presence.
airplane Posted February 23 Posted February 23 no. it was more entertaining than Rihanna’s according to this site 1
abelfenty Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It’s been almost 2 weeks and the NFL upload of his performance is still like 7M views away from reaching Rihanna’s first 24 hours views
satellites.™ Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Can your super bowl performers get a diamond album with a year end IFPI 1 position? 1 1
suburbannature Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Most-watched ever SBHT with well over 100m viewers, good reviews, got his album above 90k units. If that’s a non-event then I fear for the Ava Maxes that y’all stan 1

Triton Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It was, he set it all beautifully for a decent sized comeback. The album, the tour, promo, appearances… if only the pop girls could capitalize on it like that. He’s not a pop girl so we’re not discussing his views, plus he demolished the viewership. 1

byzantium Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) For some people that grew up around his hits it was a big event. This might be a hard pill to swallow for some of you but Lady Gaga’s halftime show wasn’t this “major event” for most people outside of the people that grew up with her either. But they were all better than maroon 5 and the Black Eyed Peas. Edited February 23 by byzantium 1 2

honestopinion Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Didn't care about this at all and didn't see anyone talk about it, still haven't watch it
Archetype Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) People love Usher enough to watch his live performance, but not enough to watch it again on YouTube. He's popular enough to have a tour in high demand, but ironically most of his fans are casual and don't actually buy or stream his music enough. He should be considered a legacy artist at this point based on his situation. Edited February 23 by Archetype
