Hector Posted September 26 Posted September 26 The ending of the second episode left a strong impact I do hope the later episodes pick up more of the pace compared to the first 2.
jakeisphat Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I haven't watched yet, does it have AHS vibes as the promo did? Is it messy in every scene like AHS & Nip/Tuck or more of a slow burn like ACS & Monster?

Like another poster said: it's more in the vein of Seven/True Detective - tho there is a bit of AHS "quirkiness" here and there. I honestly enjoyed the first two episodes so far. 2 1
Baby Dancer Posted September 28 Posted September 28 This show definitely has Ryan Murphys stink on it. Interesting female leads and a messy, camp story that I'm sure will go off the rails halfway through. I'll be seated every week, as usual... Spoiler The gross nurse - too messy and dramatic, doubt she could get away with anything with a cop. The nun - why the hell was she at the scene of the second crime? Every other cop - behaved like babies, unserious window dressing. 1

I finally watched it. Overall, I agree that it doesn't feel like AHS. If anything, the soundtrack gives me Delicate vibes, but the overall feel is toned down compared to AHS. After having watched though, I'm not sure why they used the imagery that they did in the promo clips/trailers because it doesn't feel like that at all. I do wonder if this will be like many Murphy productions that start strong but lose steam in the middle. If this isn't an anthology show and the nun is supposed to be a lead character, I'm having a hard time seeing how they continue with these religion related murders for multi-seasons without the viewers getting bored. The character Nic plays seems so cocky that it wasn't a major contrast from how he played Lyle in Monsters. But his firm, perky, round cheeks were lovely. 1
stjosephprey4us Posted September 30 Posted September 30 A little heavy handed with the writing (like most of Ryan's other shows) so far, while the plot is underwhelming. It's just kind of giving the Ten Commandments killer from AHS hotel meets Sister Mary Eunice from Asylum meets some of the elements from AHS NYC (w the main character being a cop, trying to solve a murder, who has relationship drama). I'm surprised we didn't see Travis Kelce in the first two eps, I wonder who he will play
Dylangaga Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) This writing and Travis Kelsey Edit: I hope you ROT, Ryan! Edited October 3 by Dylangaga 2
publikcitizen Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I was soo confused by episode 3… I don't understand what happened at the end with niecy and Travis.
MistressKay Posted October 8 Posted October 8 I actually am enjoying this. Neicy is killing it and the priest omg… wreck me king 2
stjosephprey4us Posted October 8 Posted October 8 (edited) I am curious with how the season plays out if there will be a season 2 or if it will just be a limited series (and if there is a season 2, if it will be anthology like the rest of Ryan's shows aside from like 2 of them) Edited October 8 by stjosephprey4us
SeeingStars1515 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Im loving this show but it totally feels like AHS with a new name for branding purposes lol 2
Pendulum Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Is Niecy Nash's character giving Denise from Scream Queens vibes? 1

Have A Break Posted October 9 Posted October 9 They're kinda losing me with the last two eps. There were some cool things in it, but overall they kinda left me meh. Don't know what it was exactly. Hope it's not going to go off the rails too much with the next eps. 1

It's gotten very surrealist all of a sudden where I was enjoying the grounded nature of the first two episodes. I want it to be a cut and dry mystery like se7en not this fever dream **** w Travis kelce 1
stjosephprey4us Posted October 10 Posted October 10 The pacing was a million times better these two episodes. Episode 5 especially was a series highlight so far. however, the killer being revealed with four episodes left in the season is kind of giving Ryan Murphy classic recipe for off the rails disaster 2
