I skipped his singing to see what she said and I thought she was probably over reacting since everyone else on set liked it. But yeah the singing is weird unless that's how he sings naturally, that mouth was moving left when the rest of the face moved right, reminded me to Miranda sings lol

All I see here is Katy being the only person willing out of a panel of 3 hugely successful singers to give any actual singing advice as the judge of a singing competition.

He was good but I do agree with Katy. He is straining himself and putting on something. He is doing the "authentic singer songwriter" shtick but its coming across inauthentic

The exact same thing happened to some girl on the OG American Idol. She was singing with weird mouth movements so they nixed her and then brought her back.

She was right in terms of the exaggerated facial expressions but im a little confused as to why she is judging anyone's singing ability.
