No, she should still force americans to listen to her music because that country have drowned in bad music taste for 10 years

Atrl exagerates too much

Even if this ends up being a flop album she can hire a new management and release a new album by next year.

The list is endless. Nothing she has done is dramatically strange/ different/ un-commercial/ wrong.  No other (even higher profile female artist) faces this level of intense scrutiny by the forum.

The overreaction :rip: you must be new here.

Anyway, she's doing what she likes and she's not pandering to the US market or anything so I don't see the point of this thread. It's not like she's making remixes with rappers so she can get a hit in the US or something like that, she's releasing the music she wanted to make and she'll continue to do so with or without support of the US.

There are people dying, Kim.

Isn't Levitating one of the longest charting songs on the Hot 100 and she has 3 Grammy's? No.

Lmao :biblionny:

The funny thing is is that Levitating and DSN were bigger in the US than they were in her homeland UK :gaycat5:

Criticism on ATRL should also never be taken seriously. ATRL does this with every female artist that doesnt perform the same as their previous album. Just look at the treatment Billie and Olivia got and that Ariana is currently getting. They’ll do the same with SZA the minute LANA doesn’t outdo SOS commercially. It’s the same cycle every single time. It’s just noise to me at this point

I mean no, but even if she did she has already achieved almost everything there is to achieve in the US: radio #1s, YE #1s, top 10s, top 3s, multiplatinum and diamond certifications, successful albums, grammys…

Only thing left is a #1 single and album.

She should be proud even if she doesn’t get more success there ever

This, the "achievements" left are easily the most artificial ones

I’m from EU and I think TS sounds too similar to Don’t Start Now

It's actually similar to "Break My Heart."

Yes, she should probably leave the US to suffer with their recycled country and rap music, her music is just too good for us. :gayalipacat5:

This thread is nonsense and reminds me why ATRL is a joke

It might be time to abandon the gays. It would do her a lot of good.

Dua's going to drop a Country album.

The majority of her songs have done better in the US than mainland Europe. UK isn’t the full definition of Europe atrl. Even training seasons is doing better in the US than the row

It’s really not that serious y’all just need to get off the internet for a bit:ryan3:

As a US citizen here, ummmm she better the **** NAWT!!

It's not just the US. Her two new songs are just not good enough.

On UK Spotify, Training Season on its first day failed to chart above Murder on the Dancefloor:wave:

If MOTD was a new song and got released by Dua right now, it would be the DSN-sized smash for her this era.

I actually think Dua's vocals would elevate the song even more:coffee2:

The US is the biggest music market in the world (and by some counts bigger than entire continents), and by far the most lucrative place to tour, so it would be a dumb move to abandon the US. There’s a reason why so many overseas artists, from Latin acts to K-Pop bands to British artists, try to break through there.

Do you need the US to become successful? No. But being successful in the States will grow your music business and brand exponentially.
