Green Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Flowers coming for the #1 Albums: 1989 (TV) Artists: Taylor Songs: Flowers
byzantium Posted February 19 Posted February 19 What was the top album last year? Flowers and Taylor will obviously top the Singles and Artist chart respectively, so the albums is the one I am unsure about.

According to United World Chart the top 2 was: 1 Taylor Swift - 1989 Big Machine / Republic - 5.851.000 equivalent sales 2 Morgan Wallen - One Thing At A Time Big Loud / Republic - 5.556.000 equivalent sales
UnusualBoy Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The #1s will be hella predictable but it’d be interesting to see the sneak ins, those that no one expected to make the top 10 1

We would all lose in that scenario. 1

This year it'll probably be a K-Pop album that sold 5M+ copies (there were a few) on the all-format chart. On the streaming only chart, I think either Bad Bunny will repeat, or 'Midnights' may go #1… Morgan could also surprise if his US streams are truly that massive.
Klein Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The #1 on the album chart is the only one that could be a surprise.

It’s currently 2024 but otherwise I agree with this analysis. There overall does not seem like a clear number 1 album.
MingYouToo Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Taylor's allegedly fraudulent China streams better come thru!!!
Sailor Moon Posted February 19 Posted February 19 There was a kpop album (SEVENTEEN - FML) that sold over 6M copies in 2023 alone, and 3 others that sold over 5M.
YellowRibbon Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Taylor might get the #1 album as well... UWC doesn't take in consideration equivalent units from LATAM and Southest Asia when Midnights did quite well there, and those K-pop albums didn't.
family.guy123 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Taylor Swift just had the most dominant year in music we’ve ever seen. I’m legit terrified at the chart slayage we’re about to witness. I thought Cruel Summer going #1 was her peak but it just keeps getting worse and worse
