Can't image which song will top the singles chart. A real nail-biter:coffee:

What was the top album last year?

Flowers and Taylor will obviously top the Singles and Artist chart respectively, so the albums is the one I am unsure about.

It's a fight between Lover, Midnights and 1989 TV

Really?  I was thinking some Kpop artist grabbed the top placement.  Stray kids?

According to United World Chart the top 2 was:

1 Taylor Swift - 1989
Big Machine / Republic - 5.851.000 equivalent sales
2 Morgan Wallen - One Thing At A Time
Big Loud / Republic - 5.556.000 equivalent sales

The #1s will be hella predictable but it’d be interesting to see the sneak ins, those that no one expected to make the top 10

Oh I sure hope it’s not Morgan on the IFPI chart.  We would all lose in that scenario.

Bad Bunny's 'Un Verano Sin Ti'.

This year it'll probably be a K-Pop album that sold 5M+ copies (there were a few) on the all-format chart. On the streaming only chart, I think either Bad Bunny will repeat, or 'Midnights' may go #1… Morgan could also surprise if his US streams are truly that massive.

The #1 on the album chart is the only one that could be a surprise.

It’s currently 2024 but otherwise I agree with this analysis.  There overall does not seem like a clear number 1 album.

Taylor's allegedly fraudulent China streams better come thru!!!

There was a kpop album (SEVENTEEN - FML) that sold over 6M copies in 2023 alone, and 3 others that sold over 5M.

Taylor might get the #1 album as well... UWC doesn't take in consideration equivalent units from LATAM and Southest Asia when Midnights did quite well there, and those K-pop albums didn't.

Is Taylor getting blocked at #2 for a 5th time? :toofunny2:

Taylor Swift just had the most dominant year in music we’ve ever seen. I’m legit terrified at the chart slayage we’re about to witness. I thought Cruel Summer going #1 was her peak but it just keeps getting worse and worse
