Why is everyone flopping suddenly since 2022?

I really feel like 90% of our favs are all flopping

Billie's sophomore underperformanced, it's not a flop but it's a huge decline compared with her smash debut album.

Olivia's situation is basically the same.

Miley got a hit, but it didn't transform into the success of ESV, which only spent like two or three weeks in the top 20, as same as Doja's new album.

Now Ariana and Dua's new singles are all flopping/underperformance :rip: Both of them were expected to smash

I mean, the same things even happened with those male artists. Drake and Bad Bunny lost their domination status, Ed just ... bombed, his new album served 2-96-out:rip:

What's going on? :deadbanana4:

Every artist declines at some point, most of these artists were smashing since 2016/17…

but the only one who truly bombed was Ed. Drake, Ariana, Dua, Olivia, Billie are still successful just not like they used to be 3 or 4 years ago.

Well based on what is happening with Yes, and?/Houdini/Traning Season I'm not positive about that :rip: I mean it looks worse than Chains to Rythem

It's just getting harder and harder to keep the public's interest because of the sheer amount of music we have access to.

I'm not sure why you think everyone is entitled to have back to back smash eras? That's never a guarantee in the music industry and especially nowadays with our abundance of content and short attention spans and artists promoting isn't a thing/as effective anymore.

While Taylor is getting bigger each era! Oh the queen! :heart2:

Tbf every artist will underperform and be knocked off the top at some point, some just sooner than others. And with someone like Drake, for example, it was inevitable that people would eventually get tired of him releasing the same old mediocre music.
