One in a Million > Aaliyah. Let’s discuss

Aaliyah was my first favorite singer and I absolutely love her self-titled album. It’s sonically-diverse and was a sign of the singer branching out, but it’s time we accept that OIAM is the better project overall.

One in a Million, If Your Girl Only Knew, 4 Page Letter, Hot Like Fire, Choosey Lover, Heartbroken :jonny:

the nonstop quality and cohesion

Yes! One of my favorite albums ever.

The album flows so wonderfully. One in a Million, A Girl Like You and If Your Girl Only Knew are the highlights!

Both are masterpieces but self-titled will always be her zenith. I Care 4 U, Loose Rap, and I Refuse alone >>>>

One In A Million is amazing but Aaliyah is simply one of the best albums ever, full of classics and not a single miss. :jonnycat:

I prefer self-titled due to her clearly matured voice. She sounds immaculate. :heart2:

If Your Girl Only Knew is kinda my fave song by her.

One in a Million and Choosey Lover are amazing as well.

That said overall I still prefer ST though, it also has amazing highs and it is more consistent imo. Both great though!

Absolutely not. One In a Million has plenty of filler.  It may have been an important step in the development of her artistry, but her self-titled is a clear cut above.

No, Aaliyah remains the best of all. But all are masterpieces.

Girl this is a LIE! OIAM is a great record with some powerful singles, but self titled was and is still that girl.

Absolutely not sorry. Aaliyah was ahead of it’s time and really predicted the Timbaland electro funk domination that would encompass 2005-2007. It’s still sounds like a modern, futuristic album today.

Both amazing albums, but self titled is just a skipless masterpiece with variety and her voice was at its best!
