I knew the streaming would be nothingness, but I'd have "at least" imagined she'd scrape top 10/20 based on physicals.

 

Given how many months on pre-sale they've had (2-3 solid months), surely that's enough time and enough versions?

 

Maybe I'm being delulu, but could it be a case of what happened with Usher? HDD had him at 78k and he ended up doing 91k with no spectacular streaming spikes for the songs. Which highlights perhaps the possibility of some of the physical units not being counted/factored in at the time of predictions.

 

I'll gladly eat humble pie if the floppage is the floppage, but something feels...missing.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me

Yeah I thought she would sell some physicals and snatch at least a top 20 placement like many legacy acts

 

For example Shania's last album went top 10 in the US and #1 in the UK thanks to physical sales

But both version are discounted to £5.99 on iTunes. I thought that would help.

She also doesn’t put an effort to maintain a fanbase here. Her last proper hit was over a decade ago and she’s hardly set foot in UK for years. 
 

And even when it comes to touring she’s only been here once and even that was just for one London show.

Could there be a delay in the shipments? Is that why it's missed the top 20?

(This Is Me... clinging onto any explanation as to why the sales are so bad)

 

that being said though, at least with the tour maybe we can snatch a higher peak a couple months down the line, let's play the long game Jenny I've got time

I think that she should have booked a stage on the grammies. She is a fantastic performer so it would give her the buzz she deserves. The album is fine.
