This is a major flop. Save us from the amazon check clapback, because when Mariah bombed with Glitter and she got 80 million in 2001 currency from Virgin Records that didnt stop the JLo old schools fans from dragging her

Ignoring yes and remix, Mariah's top two catalog songs are doing as much as JLo's entire new album so maybe let's leave her out of it

:suburban:

Caution outdebuted her with zero promo in 2018 when Spotify had far less users sis let's give that album its 10s

You didnt count Rebound with 272 K ...

As a fan Im not surprised with 2 playlists and no real hit ... it was expected tbh.

Still love it !!

And that is the most important thing.

All the feud aside... I hate it when people unnecessarily ride on a shade wave. What is the point of that really?

I have been streaming the album as well and I like it a lot.

Jennifer has her biggest year on my LastFM this year.

Right now, she ranks #30 on my year to date artist chart.

I will no longer engage in toxic and vile discussions.

U love it, I love it, let's love it together and enjoy the music. <3

This is what a real flop looks like. This is the standard for absolutely flopping.

i hate that word because it always insinuates bad quality.

Well, in recent memory, I can only recall one album that I truly disliked and that was that Liam Payne album.

This album is not bad at all.

What the outcome shows, is nothing about quality, it is the fact that older artists cannot benefit from streaming with new music. And that in itself shows a discontinuation of the music industry from how it once was. That's all.

The fan base hyping up the "success" of the movie, when the movie is a promotional vehicle for the album.

They go hand in hand. You hear the album, it makes you wanna check out the movie and vice versa.

This is a bomb no matter how you spin it.

Stream To Be Yours though.

You're telling me an Amazon original movie went #1 on Amazon?

Alert the press!

Isn't it great? If we forget Marry Me her Last solo album Came Out 10 years ago. Gen Z doesn't know her.

Glad you enjoyed the album but I personally would never voluntarily listen to a JLo album. I listened to it once. The early 00's r&b influences are cute but nothing I would listen to again. Neither has anything stuck with me.

This isn't gonna debut in the top 10 is it? :skull:

The SEA numbers are giving area code as we speak so unless the J Lovers come through with the physical copies, she might not even debut Top 100 :skull:

I do not understand opinions or people who behave in this way.

Honestly, what is the point then to be in this thread or to have an opinion to begin with?

I will always check all major acts' music out. In this case, with J.Lo, I grew up with her. I was 14 when her debut album came out.

And, i have this principle... of jumping to anyone's defense if they get unfairly attacked for no reason at all, but to hurt them or the fans or listeners, just so that they can make their intended audience laugh and show their teeth.

I can be silly too, but I'm not vitriolic.

Sis I love you but I ain't reading all of that. The upside is this will be her last album anyways so you won't have to defend her again when people like me call the album (objectively) a flop.

I believe we cannot summarize a situation like this with a single word.

And as I was saying before, the word flop has a connotation of bad quality and I rebuke that.

I like the album a lot. I'm listening to it right now.

In my opinion, for every thread which feels so negative like this one, there should be one which is positive because there is a lot of positive things to say about this album. Like, how Broken Like Me is such a classic ballad and incredibly atmospheric and beautiful.

this album was just a gift for the fans and when you take into account the numbers were split between the album and movie...

it's actually a smash

Streaming is the thing now and older artists don't really excel there so ...who was expecting her to debut high?

Her fans. I remember a few on this very forum were talking about how she's gonna smash with this release.
