I am so baffled...is she really selling **nothing** with the pre-orders? So many covers, variants etc?

I knew the streaming would be nothingness, but I'd have "at least" imagined she'd scrape top 10/20 based on physicals.

Given how many months on pre-sale they've had (2-3 solid months), surely that's enough time and enough versions?

Maybe I'm being delulu, but could it be a case of what happened with Usher? HDD had him at 78k and he ended up doing 91k with no spectacular streaming spikes for the songs. Which highlights perhaps the possibility of some of the physical units not being counted/factored in at the time of predictions.

I'll gladly eat humble pie if the floppage is the floppage, but something feels...missing.

not 2-3 months, but 1 month ...

and so much stuff was sold out in her store lol

signed deluxe and vinyls and fan packs and deluxe cd at some point ... wonder really how much they had in stock there.

1) The album is positioned as her new studio album, which she confirms in all interviews. It's not even presented as a soundtrack compilation, it's exactly a studio release.

2) Having a tour does not justify the success or failure of an album. Katy Perry was buried alive with the failure of Witness, although the tour and the deal for American Idol (which has no connection with the album) were very profitable.

Anyone expecting JLO to have a smash album or hits in 2024 is being delusional.

Trying to draw a comparison between Witness era Katy and JLO in 2024 is also really pointless.

JLO hasn't had a hit album since 2011 ?

Man, I miss the good old days when she dominated the charts.

On the 6 to Jenny from the Block. Phew, what a run.

Ive been jamming to Ashanti's I'm Real and Ain't It Funny lately. Absolute bangers.

Side note. Can't believe Fresh Out the Oven is not on Spotify.

Sis this is soundtrack to a streaming-only film on Amazon Prime

1 - The album is essentially extra promotion for the movie. What JLo really needs is the movie to be a success

That is absolutely not the truth LMAO

It’s the other way around. The movie is a promotional vehicle for the album. The film is successful on it’s own merits but a failure as a promotional vehicle because that is how most people are getting the album rather than from buying the album itself.

Wait you're correct. she really did the album first and the movie second, so yeah the film is promotion for the album

The film succeeding but the album flopping once again reinforces that ppl see JLo as actress first, singer second then. After all she first became popular thanks to the movie Selena and movies/TV are what keep her famous in the recent years (American Idol, Hustlers, Second Act, Marry Me etc)

For an actress turn singer (and who got ridiculed her whole singing career), her singing career ultimately did surpass most people's expectations
