In the previous agenda, No Angels (track 3) was slated as the forthcoming single. However, a decision has been made to replace it with Drown. The rationale behind this alteration remains undisclosed to me. Nevertheless, I hold the hope that the release of the song will proceed as scheduled on the 23rd, without further delays.

I'll wait for the whole thing to drop

Assuming this was (part of) a verse I hope there a killer chorus right where the preview cut off.

Selfish is my favorite song of the year so far and this sounds sickening already :jonny6:

Oh My God this sounds even better than Selfish :jonny: I thought Sanctified was gonna be the second single but after hearing this snippet I wouldn't mind this song being the new single at all

a little too autotuned but still good

He sounds good. It needs a stunning chorus not to be boring though. I hope it’s there

Sounds much more promising than anything he's come out with post 20/20. Like others said, it needs to have a strong hook.

I can’t even imagine what Justin Timberlake has to stay as an artist. It’s so weird and phony. He’s a grown man so he can’t just make dumb pop songs like a free feel good teenager, but he’s also so rich and bland that who beleives this nonsense about “drowning”…. In what? Ugh between this and that horrible gospel baptist song I’m just baffled about his perspective and what he’s even trying to communicate with his music.

This song sounds amazing. Hope It comes with a music video. He needs to release a few more singles before the album drops!

I am of the opinion that Justin chose to prioritise promotion by performing No Angels and Sanctified instead of releasing them to the public in an official format, aiming to increase hype and foster a sense of belonging to this album, which, given its length, might otherwise feel like a leap into the unknown. The placement of No Angels in the tracklist is more than appropriate, as is the case with SanctifiedDrown, and other yet-to-be-revealed tracks, as they seem to be perceived within a fitting flow of sound and content.

This is kind of genius. There have been so many times where I put off listening to albums because of the amount of songs. I wouldn't do that with a JT album, but if I do it with artists I'm not a huge fan of, other casual listeners would do it with JT's. Giving us tastes of the songs beforehand would make it much more easier to dive into the this 18-track behemoth.

This man's mind never fails to amaze me.
