don't even get me started on the high budget video that got scrapped (allegedly), that seems more like a false report planted by her management when in fact there was never ANY bugdet. she's basically sitting down for three and a half minutes with bunch of average looking men lusting after her

 

hell there's lyric videos/spotify visualizers with more effort than this sad excuse for a music video AND it'll only hurt the song performance cause it's average at best and she lost all the hype since the grammy performance and the long wait for a whole bunch of mediocrity.

 

to top it all off there wasn't even an album announcement, how many flop droplets will it take for her label to give her the green light? it's not like she's scoring a hit anytime soon when she's back at her old lack of energy giving us nothing schtick  i believe we're witnessing the downfall of dua lipa the pop star as we know her

Its not the worst, its just boring and unnecessary. She couldve used the part where she drinks tea as a visualizer for Spotify and then follow it up with a bigger storyline. The MV now is basically a moving picture

Stupid Love, while a garbage song, has a much better video than Training Season. At least it goes all out and embraces its own concept. Training Season video looks like everyone showed up on set at 4pm without a concept prepared and wanted to make sure they could go home by 5pm. Dua didn’t even get up from her chair for an EDM song
 

There are definitely other pop girl videos that are equally bad and boring though

It’s boring but it’s not THAT bad.. doing too much. There are a lot of pop girl videos like that.

 

I would say the worst is probably something by Lana but I can’t remember which video it was cause it was that boring and that bad

But the outcome at the end is what matters. Let's say they started working on set at 4pm & went home at 5pm as you said. This means it still looked better than Stupid Love which was worked on for weeks or months maybe? Poor dancers & crew & makeup team & more... Wish they were also able to just work for 1 hour and go home.

i loved the concept and the video is very well done but i don’t think they managed to get it where it should have gone 

 

it should have gone further but overall it’s pretty solid

Imagine hating this. I understand expecting a different type of MV for the song, but for what it’s trying to be it’s literally gorgeous and flawlessly executed. It reminds me of something Kylie would have done in the early 2000s with MVs like Come Into My World And Slow.
