First reviews are IN and they are great :duca:

Variety (full review):

But even if unintentional, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” remarkably achieves the greatness to which the other two parts of this triumvirate aspire. As the career-long recipient of pervasive and too-often-unflattering media coverage, not to mention the immediate beneficiary of a career-spanning documentary just two years ago with “Halftime,” Jennifer Lopez entered her “This Is Me…Now” era running the distinct risk of overexposure. By harnessing not just the drive that made her a superstar but the fragility (especially personal) inherent in its maintenance, Jason Bergh’s film accomplishes something unexpected: offering audiences a truly new way to look at her.

The Daily Beast (full review):

Quote

That’s the thing about The Greatest Love Story Never Told: I popped some new batteries in my bullshit detector and came away with nary a beep. There is an earnestness here that is threaded through the other two Jennifer Lopez projects that closely accompany it. It’s clear that Lopez is through with the artifice of celebrity, and is now only interested in living transparently—albeit with all of the glitz and glam that follow someone in her tax bracket. You can’t watch this documentary and deny its self-importance, but refuting Lopez’s passion is just as difficult. For her, vanity and honesty walk hand in hand. And how refreshing it is to watch a celebrity stop pretending that’s not the case.

Loud and Clear 4/5 (full review):

Quote

But perhaps the most inspiring part of The Greatest Love Story Never Told is Lopez’s work ethic. When attempting to bring her love story to the big screen, she gave it her all and put in tireless hours to make it happen. So, if you’re a fan of Lopez, this earnest look at the singer’s love life and the making of a film that reflects her journey back to rekindling her romance with Affleck won’t be one you want to miss!

I saw the trailer after watching This is Me... Now and it looks much better than Halftime (which I thought was boring).

I saw the documentary yesterday and I can confirm it's way way way better than Halftime.

I'm not that much sucker of BTS things! But this was so good and loved it! Halftime and this are really her best documentary content.

Can’t wait to see it tonight!

It was good! It was interesting to see how many celebrities she asked to be a part of the film and couldn't due to scheduling or because of how the movie would be perceived (i.e. Anthony Ramos). Even Ben was hesitant to be in the movie as he thought the entire movie would be about him, when it turns out it wasn't. It really showcases what a labor of love, blood, sweat, and tears the movie was.

Just finished it, that was excellent, better than Halftime because it was more about her self love, a long journey since she is a kid. Her work ethic is really unmatchable.

People can drag her many times they want, she will stand still and deliver greatness.

I feel bittersweet because it felt like this whole project was to close a big chapter of her singing career on a beautiful notes. But knowing she is a workholic (like me), she will definetely keeps doing other project because thats how she is!
