And they like to repeat this "No hit for a decade!!" line while Ariana's last solo hit was in 2019. Half a decade ago The "no hit for a decade" demon is a-coming for them 5 1
Grizzo Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) how many threads are you going to do about Yes, and? flopping Flowers is still THE defining hit of 2023 and had a second wind with Miley's Grammys win.... there's not gonna be a song that feels as huge as this one anytime soon Edited February 15 by Grizzo 1
Scars Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) 33 minutes ago, Marry The Gods said: The real question is, can Miley score another hit that reaches half of Flower's success? No, that's not the real question. The thread makes a comparison between these girls' latest lead singles. I hate to give it to this OP, which isn't even a Miley stan, but you know they've made their point when people start going off-topic. Yes, we all know that Ariana is a much bigger streaming force than Miley, which explains her having a far larger catalog of hits. I'm sure anyone who follows charts is aware of that. But at the end of the day, Miley debuted nearly two decades ago, long before Spotify, Ariana, and even the woman in your avi. She still ranks above all her ex-act peers, including Ariana, on any credible estimation for Billboard's Greatest Artists of All Time, and she's comfortably ahead in overall career sales—not just pure sales but overall consumption units—than any of them. Let's all take a moment to log out from Chartmasters and remember that it isn't a credible source for chart data. Regarding commercial viability, I don't think Miley has much left to prove, regardless of what happens from here. She already has a respectable amount of classics that have left a mark on music. She doesn’t need a second Flowers, the girls are still trying to achieve their first. Edited February 15 by Scars 3 6
Erreur2 La Nature Posted February 15 Posted February 15 We get it, one smashed and the other one kinda flopped. Don’t write it out though, the remix might help Yes.

Considering how poorly yes, and? is doing despite massive promo, Flowers alone will be bigger than the entire Ariana era (as well as all Positions singles). You are comparing Jaded, which received zero support, to a month-long TTH #1 with massive playlisting and radio support. 5
