It's got more pop radio support so they might as well just send it there since they support TikTok songs. But urban would be better for album rollout & long term, so I can see why they didn't commit last week. Only the biggest artists get all three formats Edited June 3 by Tinashebanks
jacobihorler Posted June 4 Posted June 4 She has a bomb for the clubs also with good house remixes.... I hope she feeds us well.

Only the biggest artists get all three formats They should have sent this to urban instead of rhythmic, I understand why on paper they would send this to rhythmic but rhythmic has not been supportive in awhile and she has not send a song on radio for a while (minus X). They should have base which format they send this song base on the format X performed the best. I guess even that is enough criteria to predict which format would be the most effective. If only big artists get all three formats and she can only go for two, they probably trying to figure what is the best move. I wish they send this to pop first like they originally planned. I feel this might do very well on pop radio. As much I don't want a remix, they could send a remix to urban later this month. Rhythmic really going drag their feet, I pray not. Hopefully tomorrow adds will be great. It seems her team have something planned for tomorrow. Will see what that is. The album listing party where they invited different radio personalities help. They need to do something for as many programmers and radio people as possible. Do you think a radio tour would help? It hasn't worked in the past. Probably too early to perform at iHeart concerts or events to get them onboard.
nuclear Posted June 4 Posted June 4 If this song doesn't reach it's potential because of radio I would be very upset. Radio is the only thing holding this.

Radio will be the deciding factor if goes top 30 or not. Radio will be the defining factor whether it outpeak 2On or not. If she had good radio it would been top 60 next Monday. It is still early let me be positive and optimistic. I have faith universe will align everything for nasty. Edited June 4 by nuclear 3

Next week it'll chart on Billboard (100-80) then maybe it can go top50 but top20 would be a dream!
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted June 4 ATRL Moderator Posted June 4 I mean, why hasn’t radio embraced it yet when it’s been taking off on streaming?

matthado Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Good to see my country (Australia) giving Tinashe support. She killed it at the music festivals she performed here at recently. I think she made some new fans due to her performances.

matthado Posted June 4 Posted June 4 (edited) 6 minutes ago, Chemist said: she needs a high profile performance I agree. If she was given the opportunity to do a high profile performance and it was on TV, she would make even more fans. Some artists have stage presence and others don't. Tinashe has it. She can also sing live and she also has a look. She just needs the platform to show the world what she is capable of and hopefully this success she is finding now allows her to have that opportunity. Until she get much higher on that chart, it position will remain unstable. It already back to #172. I wonder if it will peaked in the top 150 today though. 12 hours ago, Spicy_TyTy said: Please please get her an awards show slot, just something where she can do a killer medley and give a viral breakdown The words on the street is she might be doing BET awards this year. With strong Radio it is a possibility. Songs with less or around the same streams it doing now were/are peak higher due to radio. Honestly it's all depends on Radio. As long as radio get on board and not after it has peaked on streaming there is a big chance it could/will. 1 hour ago, YoungDreamer said: My personal goal for Nasty is to outpeak Level Up You are messy My personal goal is body party but for now I will settle for I Bet. nuclear Posted June 4 Posted June 4 The things I love about nasty even though it more accessible than her previous singles it still stands out and still very much Tinashe. Different/experimental and commercial as well. I can literally hear nasty on top 40 radios, rhythmic, and urban radios not only standout but fit perfectly on those formats. I love how she was able to combine various sounds into one and makes experimental but commercial music at the same time. The way she combine alt R&B, Dance/electronic, Pop, and hip-hop is amazing. Nasty is far far from being her best, but it is a great bait. She has always done that but overtime she perfect it. She has found a sweet spot between experimental and mainstream. I hope she continues to perfect her craft and the GP will finally give her the flowers she deserves. On that note she needs to add couple more uptempo/club bangers on Quantum baby. Make the people dance again TinashA. 5
reymiu Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Eh I still think Rhythmic is her best radio format (think Doja, Kehlani etc) 1
