Ethel is an expert in world-building just like her. "Preacher's Daughter" and "Ultraviolence" are the perfect albums for a late humid summer night, except the former is so much darker. I'd recommend starting with the "Inbred EP" (Inbred, Crush, Michelle Pfeiffer, God's County are my personal faves). Her cover of Britney's Everytime is also a fan fave and was the reason I got into her personally. "Preacher's Daughter" is honestly meant to be experienced sequentially in full, no shuffle no skipping, with the genius lyrics/notes pages pulled up because they do a great job of laying out the story. You just have to be in the right headspace for it. Don't expect many "pop" tracks like Crush/American Teenager or you'll be disappointed though. (Strangers, A House in Nebraska, Thoroughfare, Sun Bleached Flies, Hard Times, American Teenager are my faves but the entirety of the album is great). Then you can checkout her first EP Carpet Bed and start diving into her unreleased material. Edited February 15 by State of Grace. 1
Gold Posted February 15 Posted February 15 She really really doesn't care what happens to the Palestinian people, I love that all these celebrities never talk about Israel's 1500 dead, or even condemn terrorism from the Palestinian side, hypocritical and incompetent people, just another poor and sad marketing trick to ride the trend And on the way to enjoy a guide about the Jewish people, all those here who think they know what's really going on, you are ignorant and it doesn't surprise me, you feed on lies you see on TikTok and think it's reality, keep it up, humanity is in danger of extinction anyway, it doesn't really matter anymore. 1 6
