playwithme Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Lady Gaga ruled the music industry in 2008-2011. Imagine that you are managing her new era. What should she do to be on top again in 2024? Release an ASIB-like album to secure the straights? Use the nostalgia gimmick to release TF 2.0? What would you do to make her the talk of the town again? Do something shocking and provocative? Popular Post Sheep Posted February 13 Popular Post Posted February 13 (edited) Well considering her last tour was in stadiums, both of her last projects spawned #1 singles, she doesn't breathe into a microphone without getting a grammy, and her movies consistently overperform at the box office, I'm not sure how much more at the top she could get. I mean, she's moderately successful, but not immensely successful like during her peak. I'm asking what she can possibly do to be competitive with the likes of Taylor Swift. 1 2 3

Gaga can't do what Taylor does as a commercial force and Taylor can't do what Gaga does with the constant transformations and sweeping every genre or medium she throws her weight behind. Mandalore Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Something ASIB like, basically Adele's lane. I can't see it happening with dance pop but you never know. I doubt she cares though, she'll make some music if she needs to tour but in the meantime she seems happier pursuing acting. 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Releasing a good single maybe ? Cause her single choices are the worst out of any major artist. Edited February 13 by Erreur2 La Nature 4 1

Cheers Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Nothing. She just needs to keep attaching herself to #majah films with acclaimed actors and leech off their acclaim. That's all she can do at this point! 6

Even someone like Madonna or Adele. it’s clear gaga is bigger and more successful than many among her peers. The fact that you can only use Taylor as example for Gaga to compete means Gaga is doing far better than anyone else then. Edited February 13 by Happylittlepunk

Tay just couldnt break it in the film industry, both OST wise and acting wise.
Happylittlepunk Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Gaga is doing just fine right now. Her last era was more successful than expected and she had more demand on average per show attendance than she ever had in career. The gp has proven that as long as the music is good they will show up and support Gaga.

But I do see her directorial debut being a huge success, and if she does the OST that'll be successful too
Paola Bracho Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Stop being involved in the writing/producing process of her music. She doesn't have it. She better let professionals do their job! 1
lg6chromatica Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I mean, she's already proven herself in the music industry, but to answer your question: She should release an objectively solid 13-track album imbued with a "dark pop" (hate that overused stan Twitter term) sound—balanced with a few exceptional ballads to rival Always Remember Us This Way—and the lead single should feature a male streaming giant, i.e. The Weeknd.
Dula Peep Posted February 13 Posted February 13 On top again? Being realistic for a sec... She's pushing 40, radio already refuses to play her... the goal should be just not producing a complete bomb of an album and get a moderate hit at this point. She just needs to focus on releasing quality music, that's all that she can do at this point. 1
