I've seen so many Americans on social media thinking this is a new song written for Saltburn :rip: So happy for Sophie, she deserves this success and that performance was really good!

It’s so weird how many Americans that were around in 2002 forget how resistant to nu-disco and dance-pop radio was at the time.

Somehow Can’t Get You Out of My Head broke through with a few others but otherwise it was all about pop-punk (Avril, etc.), nu-metal (Limp Bizkit, etc.), urban pop-rap (Murder Inc.), alternative rock (Lifehouse, etc.), hip-hop (Missy, Eminem, etc.) and adult contemporary (Norah Jones, etc.).

I keep seeing comments with those same people wondering why it wasn’t a hit, pretending that that era of radio and popular music had never happened and it’s really annoying - this collective amnesia.

Whatever, happy for Sophie, she deserves it.
