With gems like Diamond Heart, Dancing in Circles, John Wayne, etc… Was the country inspired album by Lady Gaga ahead of its time?

It would if it was bit authentic. No one was buying that

Gaga has some of the best concepts but she fails in execution

Ahead of it's time as in flopping with a fake country record?

Who keeps telling these women that we want country albums? 2016-2018 mainstream "countrypop" years were so damn boring

Yes

Gaga once said “ it’s ok people are not supposed to appreciate me or my music now they’ll start appreciating it later on”

she was 💯 correct

No. It was just another album by Lady Gaga. She should’ve released Chromatica in 2016 instead.

I feel like there is a long list of artist that “go country” at some point in their career.  Madonna, I think Tina Turner, Nelly, Kelly Clarkson flirted with the genre, etc.

More recently Halsey and Post Malone have also done it.

No, 2016-2017 was a time many pop artists went the "real music"/"real artist" route. There's Miley, Harry, Kesha, etc. Most of those albums sound dated now, so they were not ahead of their time.

Yes I been saying it for years. Put some respect on her second best album's name

No, I would actually argue it was very much of its time. However, I think it definitely doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets (especially from Gaga’s own fanbase :skull:)

Pop is a cycle

No, you can say "ahead of its time" for like 3-4 years, not a whole decade :rip: It's not like she reinvented a new sub-genre or music concept (like Lana did with her sad girl indie music for example)

there's nothing country about joanne she just put on a pink hat

No. Madonna did the country thing as a MPG way before any other pop girl. Be real
