Green Posted February 12 Posted February 12 This is amazing and it's more country than most of the music that country radio plays currently 3
orange22 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I don’t love the mixing though a lot of modern country has a more luxe sound than this
BnPac Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Great song, so very country lol. I can’t lie, I expected her to serve pop heavy country, at least for the first singles. But she said let’s go straight to my ancestors’ tunes.
The7thStranger Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) She looks like Nomi Malone on the cover, and I'm here for it. I love that she's not doing what's expected of her. Edited February 12 by The7thStranger
Shinning Posted February 12 Posted February 12 This is cute, I like it. It's very old school country. Goddamn she's such a risk taker.
dumbsparce Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I'm a semi-OBH but I love this. The other song is cute too. Definitely looking forward to the album. Could the whole theme of Renaissance be her reclaiming genres that were originally created by black people which is sth the gp either overlooks or isn't even aware of? Act 1 was house, Act 2 is country and Act 3 will probably be rock/rock n roll.
sadnews Posted February 12 Posted February 12 such a fun song with warmth and tenderness. easy to listen. just vibing.

This FarmVille ass best it’s giving Trolls: Out West soundtrack This is where I’m at on this after four listens still. Oh well. 16 carriages sounds like it comes from a completely different record and this reads as parody. Moving on.
aaron511 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I expected to either HATE it or LOVE it. Right now I'm somewhere in the 7/10 space. A solid song but it might have to grow on me more
Revel Posted February 12 Posted February 12 This song is amazing. So light and airy. Full of country influences. Hope it becomes a hit for her.
