Bethenny Frankel Posted February 17 Posted February 17 16 carriages is the better song, but this is the hit. girl you better release those visuals we've been waiting almost two years for, time's up!
Green Posted February 17 Posted February 17 If it doesn't debut at #1, maybe it could have a chance to top the hot 100 next week if the streams remain stable Also they better have ready 2 more versions on itunes just in case it's a close battle.

Honestly at this point, I hope theres not a remix in store. I want Texas to succeed on its own, SOLO merits. Thats so much kuntier 1
Green Posted February 17 Posted February 17 When will the UK rule affect Stick Season? It's still increasing in the UK?

QueenofCopyPaste Posted February 17 Posted February 17 She debuted #49 on Country Radio!!! Triple AAA/Alternative is playing it too! 1
QueenofCopyPaste Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The most multiformat crossover radio hit since Old Town Road/Cruise/Rolling in the Deep 6
Golden Posted February 17 Posted February 17 okay i absolutely LOVE to see the success since i love the song but just wondering why the geepee are clicking with it so much?? do we have a multi-format, international smash in our hands? why?? how? is it.. a) the rollout from her team (dual single release, combined w/ the superbowl ad, availability on all streaming platforms) b) the TikTok-appeal w/ 30k+ videos and an already viral dance in a matter of a few days c) the popularity of country in the current music landscape + the discussion surrounding the black roots of its genre d) renaissance being a+ music but only appealing to a niche (i.e. gays and their allies) and country being more gp-friendly or all of these combined? someone write up an analysis @swissman 1

Consistently at that. Texas' success is a combination result of: a) streaming momentum established by Renaissance b) the gag/novelty/press of "Beyonce going Country" and c) it's a great, catchy song! I love stan culture (hell, it's what this whole forum and Twitter is based on), but I'll never get with the "x song is smashing so that automatically makes it **better** than its predecessors". Context, as described above, is everything. That said, ecstatic for Bey and us (The Hive). All of this. I will never not side-eye the hive members that all but denounced Lemonade the release week of Renaissance. 1

Either way, it‘s increasing on streaming, probably falling hard sales wise but an accelerating radio performance may balance that out.
