That’s what happens when you’re a US colony functioning as a hyper capitalist dictatorship under the guise of a liberal “democracy”occupied by the US military…

“South Korea expects its record-low fertility rate to plumb new depths annually for a few more years, worsening its demographic challenges.

The number of babies expected per woman probably dropped this year to 0.72 and will continue to fall through 2025, when it’s expected to reach 0.65, the statistical office said Thursday in its latest population forecasts. South Korea already has the world’s lowest fertility rate at 0.78 as of 2022.”

You can take the girls out of the capitalist military dictatorship but can't take the capitalist military dictatorship out of the girls, it seems.

Odd too because, from an outsider's perspective, President Moon didn't seem radically progressive or anything, just generally liberal. Just seems people forget the reactionary tendencies long rooted in South Korea's politics.

lol this tweet seems to imply they'll force you to work 21.5 hrs everyday but it's simple untrue. Nothing really changed and an employer in SK still cannot require you to work more than 52 hrs in a week, which translates to approximately 7 to 8 hours per day like most countries.

What I'm saying is people need time to rest too. No wonder their suicide rates are high cause you can't work 7 days a week all the time.

The work life culture here is wild. Workers are forced to basically stay overtime unpaid in top of unpaid hours already in SK, this will not make things better I fear. Shame.
