Don't pretend like she wasn't there last year too :rip:

I mean, it's because there was a lot of interesting people (including Taylor) and the show was great. Good performances, legendary presenters and the awards are mostly right awarded

Public interest in her life and career have exploded since the start of the Eras Tour (mid March, a month after the Grammys) plus the whole Matty and Travis coverage. Additionally, it's almost as if her four televised nominations and a shot at her breaking one of the top records is more of an audience draw than the one televised nomination she had last year :rip:

Sure, there were people tuning in for SZA and Billie, but I doubt the unannounced Tracy Chapman performance or the Joni Mitchell or Billy Joel performances were drawing a YoY increase of several million :deadbanana2:

Don't pretend like she's not significantly bigger in the media world than she was last year :rip:

Don't pretend like she wasn't teasing an album announcement earlier in the day that made the Swifties watch in droves :rip:

It's funny the lowest rating are in 2022 and 2021, when they invited those fakes BTS and let them perform, the moment they stopped inviting them last year it went up and up.

Viewership for CBS' coverage of the Grammy Awards was up 30.8% from last year, but still the third-lowest on record

The way everyone is fighting over crumbs :rip:

The 2022 ceremony, which was delayed to April due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the Los Angeles area, averaged 9.587 million viewers, airing when television viewing is traditionally lower because of better weather and more sunshine caused by the shift to daylight saving time.

I was told the GP is sick and tired of Taylor because tons of hate tweets against her went Mega Viral™ on Twitter, which is an extremely accurate representation of what regular people feel?

Taylor Swift

Beyonce

SZA

Billie Eilish

Olivia Rodrigo

Miley Cyrus

Billy Joel

Lana Del Rey

Jay-Z

etc.

Like the way yall are desperate to attribute everything to Taylor is nuts. She didn’t even perform. It was a star studded night with many acclaimed performances (something that’s been lacking in recent years).
