Love Taylor's music but I admit it left a bad taste. You can tell she only cares about the award. I felt bad for Celine just standing there waiting for her to collect the trophy and she didn't even hug her, nor even look at her and said thank you. I hope she learns from this.

Because her PR team will just post a “personal” pic of a letter written in cursive after the fact, thanking Celine for the “great honour” & everyone will “understand” that she was just “caught up in the “emotion of winning” & say “see? I’m glad she said something. Now move on!”.

As a Taylor fan I definitely found the moment very awkward. I get that she was caught up in the moment, but she had a chance to thank Celine during her speech, or acknowledge her, but didnt. Obviously there's no feud or bad blood, the backstage pic proves this, but I wish she had handled it better. Still, some of y'all are blowing this out of proportion.

 

I think Lana was ruder by not standing up to her entrance (if this is true)

What does “standing up to an entrance mean”? Was Lana supposed to stand up to Taylor in that moment? She tried to get her hand away, but Taylor is the one who dragged her up there and forced her to make her big entrance in the first place

Stand up for Celine when she appeared, like everyone else did. Dont know if this is true or not though

What Taylor did was obviously not intentional, but it was disrespectful. That does not make Taylor disrespectful, but her action absolutely was. And clearly she and her team agree, considering how quickly they disseminated a fresh picture of her with Celine before celebrating her achievement. Fans pretending that what happened on LIVE television wasn’t a big deal is honestly further validating how disrespectful it was because you all are signaling that Celine in that moment didn’t deserve respect. I think her slight was unintentional but her fans are defending it in a way that is unintentionally making it worse.
