sweetblindness Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Is there something I'm missing? I mean, yeah it's sad for the woman, but to offer a dissenting opinion, I think expecting someone not to remarry anytime in 54 years is kind of absurd, especially if you don't even know whether the other person is even alive. If you're married and your spouse passes away, should you not be expected to remarry ever again? I'm just not understanding the animosity in this thread... 10

I think there's some context missing from here. Like did he even bother to try and find her after all that time? Did he just move on right away? We can clearly see who was more devoted in the marriage.....
Zefierce Posted February 4 Posted February 4 How are people acting like they know the context of the situation... at all? 1
Badgalbriel Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Ok. But why were they separated for 54 years? I imagine it's not too difficult to find your freaking spouse after a war. Like, what's the context here? Why did they not find each other after the war ended over half a century ago?

Agreed with the sentiment, but is this video even real? Or is it some old ass stuff that’s being re-circulated now? Everyone here knows WWII ended almost 80 years ago, right? 1

tiagol88 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Not yall mad at him for moving on after not finding his wife while many of u probably move on from everyone in 2 days and suck different dick every month im sure if yall were married and put in this situation u would just remain alone until you die lmao. (not)
Bussea Posted February 4 Posted February 4 i mean, what do we expect him to do i’ve always been curious about stuff like this tho. like before cell phones and social media, how easy it was to lose contact with people One missed phone call and you could never be able to talk or see that person ever again
Pendulum Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I am confused. If they've been separated for 54 years due to WW2, wouldn't that mean they would've reunited somewhere in the 90s? The clips do not seem like they're from the 90s. The Twitter caption is lying methinks. Anyway, the role of China in WW2 and the atrocities they've suffered is severly overlooked.
velocity Posted February 5 Posted February 5 imagine waiting years and years on little hope only to find he was laid up with some other ***** i'd become a widow right there and then
UnusualBoy Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I mean, it's sad for the lady but it's been 54 years, we had to move on with his life.
