Someone who has some reliable sources said that it was posted because RCA was mad about Justin's song being overshadowed by Britney's. Britney deleted the apology from IG real quick lol. But this new post does not references Timberlake at all though.

I refuse to believe you’re actually this stupid. Britney has a contract with RCA and they made her post an apology from her account because they thought that’s why Justin Timberlake’s song was bombing and receiving so much negative attention.
