4th Time Around Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) I am so pumped that she is not working with Jack this time, I enjoyed Masseduction and Daddy's Home in spite of him, not because of him. It felt like his production was always trying to defang Annie, yet never succeeded to the point that those records sucked. I have very high hopes that this album is going to be killer Edited February 28 by 4th Time Around 2

It’s scheduled for this week among with album announcement, but judging from the silence, it can be easily postponed. 8 hours ago, Pendulum said: What's the overall sound of the album? Is it less poppy than Masseduction and DH? I listened to snippets to be very honest and clear with you all, so my opinion is not “mature”. but, generally speaking, it’s less pop in certain parts of it. 2

Archie Posted February 28 Posted February 28 it's a lot darker. i legitimately don't think the fans of her poppier work will enjoy the album. it's mostly rock. parts sound shoegaze-y. violent times has some big brass sections. feels like a nod to her early 2010s work but more mature. with all that said, the lead single, i think, is a banger. 5
Uncatena Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I think she might postpone the announcement a bit because of the cover vs what just happened with Aaron Bushnell
campelo Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Has she already made vinyls, I have the feeling she will change the cover completely due to what just happened

From what you are describing, it seems like we are in for the heaviest sound since Strange Mercy Edited February 28 by 4th Time Around 1
godmess Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Thank GOD, she fell off with her past 2 albooms... Glad she's remembering who she is!

bestfiction Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I think she could just make a different cover for the lead single, and then announce the album a bit later?... 2

Pendulum Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Not this becoming my most hyped release of 2024 in less than 24 hours I genuinely had no idea Annie is releasing an album this year
