Hell, Doja was signed to Roc Nation and we never even heard a peep out of him about Doja, until recently when she switched up her rap style on “JEEZU.”  So yeah, he def has a type/sound he typically associates himself with.  
 

I do think him latching on to Meg is partly to do with the Bey/Houston connection + him wanting to take advantage of trends and money/business deals.
