Lose the “Together” and you have your answer.

Enough with overhyping this Full House rip off

absolutely :clap3:  talk about talent with a message.

Off Topic, but this song always makes me remember and think of my mentor who was also one of my best friends for 10 years. he passed away from HIV w/o telling me and he died the week of Thanksgiving in 2018. Our birthdays are 3 days apart in December. I’m really grateful to Janet for making this song b/c anytime it comes on, I automatically think of him and smile.

Obvs! Love how the song starts off as a ballad and quickly transitions into a full bop like some of Donna's most iconic hits :jonnycat:

This is how you do a disco-inspired song with a modern and unique twist :gaynetcat2:

Love the Empty stanning but you tried it wit the TA slander :noparty:The glorious melody and the minimalist house production are just pure bliss and such a beautiful contrast with the lyrics about loss

She studied Donna down for that one and it paid off :gaynetcat2:

Imagine singing about a topic as difficult as grief and making it sound ethereal and so uplifting

its a classic, but there are about 10 more that are more iconic.

It's her biggest single, but not her best imo. That would be I Get Lonely.

But it's a beautiful song nevertheless. The lyrical content makes it special.

Honestly yes. She's had many amazing hits throughout the years but this is her most timeless song in my opinion.

I still get shivers every time I hear that intro.

They are musical geniuses but Jimmy, Terry, and her teetered on that line between interpolation and straight up sampling without crediting :rip:

“Daisy Jane” by America and “Let’s Wait A While”

”Feel So High” by Des’ree and “Got Til It’s Gone”

These were so obvious too :dies:

It's her biggest hit so yes :clap3: This is how you deliver a beautiful message while giving everyone a BOP.

This will always be my favorite Janet single though, an absolute classic:

It’s funny because to me songs like Miss you much is a recycled song from Control, All For You = Doesn’t really matter and Runaway = Together Again

producers do it often like max with baby = oops, tearing up my heart = no tears left to cry

In the words of Tokyo toni
