Abracadabra Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The people in here calling her a flop are so delusional lmao 9 1
stjosephprey4us Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Wbk it was going to be “40,” or else self titled if it comes a couple years earlier
Pop Fan Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Oh, damn! She really doesn't give a **** about her music career. Good for her tho. She was never a "pop star" and she never really cared about success or charts. She was an organic phenomen. Imagine if she had Taylor's drive and work ethic. But yeah, this kinda feels like a semi-retirement announcement. 2
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted January 28 ATRL Moderator Posted January 28 Well, who knows. Artists make statements similar to this all the time, but you never know when inspiration will strike. I think I'll always be interested in Adele's releases because she has such an emotive and genuine voice, but I just couldn't get into 30. I don't think it's a bad album by any means, I just didn't find it as compelling as 19 or 21. Regardless, she's got such vibrant musicality and whether she comes back in a year or ten I'll be checking for it

Roberto Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The fact that this thread was opened by a Rihanna fan is kinda . But ok, Adele, can't wait for 40 or something like that, I guess.
spiritboy Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Glad she's taking her time, guess she'll have another baby before dropping another album. Hope she won't pull a Rihanna and have a 10 year break.

Cheeky Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I like that she prioritizes living and enjoying her life over releasing music. Good for her.

CaptainMusic Posted January 28 Posted January 28 She’s so damn lazy. Honestly Taylor is way more deserving of being the biggest star in the world than her, her days are dominating are over and it’s her own fault. 1 1

Støned Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Is she trying to be like Enya or Sade? Goddamit Adele, it’s hard to stan you anymore, just give us at least a Christmas album this year before you disappear for another 5 years.
BtDecember Posted January 28 Posted January 28 It’s so crazy that in 17 years of her career (her debut single “Hometown Glory was released in October 2007), she only released FOUR albums Taylor debuted a year earlier (“Tim McGraw” was released in June 2006) and she has SIX more albums than her spanning three genres
