You answered your own question. Experience. Music. Material, wo becomes a MPG with a debut album? It's very rare.

She already is.

She has polarizing imagery and doesn't has conventional beauty that's easy to sell a la Sabrina or Olivia.

She herself probably doesn't aim that much popularity and prefer going on Carly / Charli route (more indie / artistically independent but economically viable fanbase )

We'll have to see. Fickle gays online tend to bandwagon on newer artists and drop them like a rock when they start going into a direction they don't like. Rina/Lorde/Dua comes to mind.

I don't like her music and find her kinda corny.

However, this thread...

If anything Chappell won't have that problem because she's already established a core following and doesn't solely rely on quick streaming hits like Dua. Rina has never pierced mainstream culture, she's more comparable to pre-Brat Charli. Lorde is alt and can tour and sell out venues so I'd say she's doing fine despite not scoring a hit as big as Royals.

Billie, Chappell, Olivia and Sabrina are very obviously "MPGs" at this point. Sometimes I feel like this site is just in denial and clinging to the millennial pop girls for dear life.

I did not realize it was an old thread and for a moment I was so confused reading the first answers :dies:

she is on her way, till the end of the year i think she can snag a #1 and a bna win in 2025

She doesn't have that conventional pop star beauty ala Britney or Taylor

Also, I think the fact her style doesn't fit any music trends, makes her growth more gradual and not supernova rapid like, for example, Olivia did

A monster saying she's too theater kid on the first page. Pot calling the kettle black. I've really seen it all :dies:

OT: I wouldn't count her out. We'll see in 5 years
