bad guy
I think it’s time producers create their own fresh sound and stop trying to bite off sounds that worked well for a particularly time in pop music. You just can’t recreate past lighting in a bottle moments. This whole era of nostalgia pop is so lazy. 7
mons†er
no, it's time for producers and singers to actually be thinking of the future instead of lazy nostalgia pop trend. think of something new and exciting.

Funny that your user pic is Billie, because she's one of the only MPGs these days that isn't constantly riding on the coattails of nostalgia or interpolation one of the few innovators of sound right now in her lane, truly

AvadaKedavra
Yes i feel like the charts should move to a more R&B-Urban-ElectroR&B-Middle Eastern-Dancehall-Tropical vibe next. Something hotter. Im done with the house trend. I supported this new ariana song and gagas chromatica but im just over with that genre. Disco is still cool if its done well. I would be here for Disco Gaga. Pop rock i think is goin down. It doesnt have the same power anymore. I wonder if Billie will be able to score hits with that Synthpop is cute but is gettin too predictable. Trap is a no I would be here for that r&b revival But not from timbaland. He's homophobic and a disgustin person. I would like Danja to rise better. Maybe the neptunes I would like A new team of hitmakers rising up with a similar vibe to them. Lots of tribal and dark jungle-like sounds. NOW
I feel like Danja is lowkey responsible for the majority of great songs from that era. Once he left, Timbaland's music became very bland. Just listen to the difference between Shock Value I and II for evidence. For me, I do like some references to the past, like a Darkchild harpsicord mixed with something edgier and modern like a Sega Bodega beat. Basically Shygirl.
