Triton Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Ehhh even with **** music he’ll have the nostalgic moms looking out for him on top of the tired Britney gays waiting to “drag” him yet keeping his name on headlines. He might not have acclaim but he’ll be infamous.

Elusive Chanteuse Posted January 26 Posted January 26 It’s a nice safe song. This seems like it was written so it can trend on Twitter 1
Rev8 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 The users saying the critic is biased.. Critics have always been biased especially in previous years where Poptimism wasn't a thing.. but yall still call artists from that time - Panned the song wasn't great or bad. 1
Into The Void Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Sorry but the 20/20 Experience is good this reviewer can kindly **** oft 1

Hence, we have retrospective reviews to clear them off of that bias that an artist may have experienced in their lives during the release of a certain record. The song is disposable and nothing out of the ordinary. It’s good radio candy tho and might fair well there.
jomarr Posted January 26 Posted January 26 2020 Exp was released in 2013 so technically the 10 year run the critic indicated does not cover both parts of the record.

For instance, he was able to capitalize on his relationship with Britney Spears to sell FutureSex/LoveSounds. I think this is incorrect btw? wasn’t Justified the one in which he capitalized on the breakup? either way, I’ll echo what everyone else is saying. yes, the dragging may be a bit funny, but this is honestly quite unprofessional and the bias is cringy. that’s not how to review a song imo. as a musician, it feels like a cheap hit below the belt 2
JoeAg Posted January 26 Posted January 26 also, no revisionism. as much as i don’t like JT as a person, I can’t deny that The 20/20 Experience (part 1) is a great project and has aged quite well 1
campelo Posted January 26 Posted January 26 That first line just showed the true colors of the person who made this review...
Stimulus Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) Not the kind of review that makes a site look credible. Consequence gave a glowing review of The 20/20 Experience and it doesn't make sense for them to do a 180 here without even realizing the disconnect. And Cry Me a River is on Justified, not The 20/20 Experience. Pitchfork would never. Edited January 26 by Stimulus
Flanders Posted January 26 Posted January 26 It's pretty clear that this writer has some serious disdain for JT And some of it is simply not true. Justified, FS/LS and 20/20 were all great albums that helped cement him as the mian male pop star during that time. Since then, his music has sucked, but I feel like some of the criticism against his music is completely unfounded

vale9001 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) They give 10/10 to Lil Nas X last album But they jump to the Justin hate wagon and they Say the music Is bad because of social- cultural things. Then they cry when "bad editors" close their magazines cause no One reads them anymore. Judge the music girls Edited January 26 by vale9001 1 1
