JoeAg Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 I was such a loser tbh because I had followed the entirety of her droplet era in 2015, lurking on ATRL and keeping up with each single and spanning the sh*t out of all of them, but then I kinda just stopped paying attention to pop music for the beginning of 2016 for some reason. I was fully paying attention to alt and indie strictly until Lemonade dropped. like Bowie’s last album, Cardinal by Pinegrove, I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, Commontime by Field Music, 99¢ by Santigold, all my fav alt/indie albums from 2015 (Get to Heaven, Sprinter, Vulnicura, Divers, Thank Your Lucky Stars, New Bermuda, and Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit), and a few old Of Montreal albums were what DOMINATED the beginning of 2016 for me up until like April lol the first time I heard Work was on the radio about a month after it was released, and the first time I listened to Anti as a full album was when I went back to maryland for the summer on a random nightwalk nevertheless, incredible year for music and such a great project! I just wish I had been paying attention a bit better, that’s my one regret. I think I just felt like I was lame compared to my ex boyfriend so I shut out the pop music I’d normally love to impress him. it was dumb tbh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
