Regina is more iconic but she was genuinely a bad person. Sharpay had every right to be mad at Gabriella and Troy. Musical theatre was her hobby and something she'd been doing for years. Gabriella and Troy just jumped in it at the last minute for the kiis. I'd be pissed off too, especially since they both missed the audition and somehow got seen anyway...

Sharpay is the better character, but she had 4 movies to develop her narrative, I would disagree with the rest and say Sharpay is more iconic too.
