Thoughts on an electric fireplace vs. gas fireplace?

I have the option of upgrading a gas fireplace to electric for 2k and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Any opinions?

I bought an electric fire place for around 200 euros. It works, saves space and looks qt ¯\(ツ)/¯ very satisfied considering I only have to turn it on max 20 times a year in Amsterdam. Had a gas one before - hazardous. Today it’s +10 celsius and I want the window open for fresh air.

depends on ur home decor but i prefer electric.

cheaper, easier to install, heats faster, and safer around pets and kids

I have an electric fireplace and tbh it works perfectly fine it warms up my entire living room and guest thinks it’s cool and gets the job done. Don’t see a need for gas fireplace at all.
