Oscars snubbed the best Barbie single. Why?

While not a masterpiece Dua Lipa Dance the night is the bigger hit and the best single from Barbie soundtrack. The scene with the song is maybe the most famous in the movie.

These academies of 70 years old are so boring with their analogy slow song- real song-/sad song- true artistry and uptempo - more commercial.

Justice for Dula!

It's a fun pop song against two Barbie ballads

It didn't have a chance at the oscars

They said, "Let's DuaNot give it to her." And that was that.

Str8s think too literal. They think only sad ballads can be artistic but not fun dance songs.

Their taste is very corny.

(Actual music critics do not think like this, which is why Boys a Liar and Rush were so acclaimed last year.)

What Was I Made For was the best Barbie song and it made me cry more than once. The other ones didn't.

It was evident from the very beginning. There is nothing special about this song, it's just a song for a party. No deep lyrics or meaning behind the song

It wouldn't have been eligible due to the samples anyway.

And the answer to the OP, due to the technicality that only 2 songs from a movie were allowed to be nominated.

they were never gonna give 3 out of 5 noms to the same movie and WWIMF and IJK have won precursors. DTN was never happening

because she needed to beg and look desperate for the nomination performing at every Hollywood event for the last 2 months (like a certain girl).

Dua just did random radio interviews, while even Ryan released a whole EP.

It’s crazy that there are basically just 4 slots available if you take out Diane Warren’s guaranteed spot lol

Come on. This was washed off FN song. Billie deserved much more.
