HANZ94 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I still remember the headaches I had with the ARTPOP era everything went wrong like for real Only the mini applause era was a serve Happier than Ever also had messy single choices that ruined the taste of the era 3
punisher Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) The CB2 rollout has consisted of A 6+ year rollout (and counting) 7 singles (4 hits, 3 flops) 1 pregnancy 1 big controversy (drugging men) 5+ beefs 5 false album dates 1 divorce filed and we’re still not done! Edited January 20 by punisher 2 8
Popular Post playboi Posted January 20 Popular Post Posted January 20 (edited) Glitter and it's not even up for debate The movie was panned, the music was panned, both tanked, the lead single was stolen, Mariah had a breakdown which led her to psychiatric care, 9/11... not a single thing went right Edited January 20 by playboi 19
Iyanla, Fix Me Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Artpop came to mind instantly but isn’t really that that messy i guess albums that get pushed back for 2 years and have 6 pre release singles?
Cameltoe Chariot Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Blackout, sweetie... Spoiler still her best album tho
.Odyssey. Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Madame X was pretty messy Highlights included: An era intro video with a bunch of different Madame X characters that we never saw again Medellin which was very polarizing to the fans The eyepatch in every interview The rant against the New York Times for their profile about her at 60 All the wrong promo singles (Future and Dark Ballet instead of God Control and I Don't Search I Find....?) Eurovision, which was a disaster Pride where she performed Vogue and then three songs no one knew (American Life, God Control, I Rise) The beginning of the butt talk (starting with her Stonewall NYE appearance to bring in 2019) The Madame X Tour where she was regularly in the news for late starts & show cancellations (not to mention the show itself which was...erm...a downgrade from regular Madonna shows, to say the least) The initial anticipation of this era was crazy exciting, but woo, what a disappointment. 1
wastedpotential Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I was going to say Witness but this made me reconsider 24 minutes ago, playboi said: Glitter and it's not even up for debate The movie was panned, the music was panned, both tanked, the lead single was stolen, Mariah had a breakdown which led her to psychiatric care, 9/11... not a single thing went right Still, here's a 40 minute video on how Witness killed Katy's career that's pretty damning I'm sure the OKH of this website have already seen it
holyground13 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Tinashe's Joyride probably takes the cake. The label were literally just throwing s**t at the wall and just hoping it stuck. • Pop single Player in 2015 which didn't hit the label's expectations. • Teaser in 2015 with expectation that the album would be out soon. • Party Favors and ROYL, then Superlove, then Company + Nightride (its release was a great decision in the long run for sure), then Flame + the absolute randomness of Light The Night Up. • Proper start to the campaign in January 2018 and album release finally in April. • Then the new era began in July 2018. Songs For You was such a breath of fresh air - what an album and era. 6

prézli Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Nicole Scherzinger's first attempt to make a solo career which resulted in album cancellation. This song is a bop, though. 2

Bethenny Frankel Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Can't believe no one has mentioned Queen by Mrs. Petty yet
Pink Ranger Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Demi’s DWTD era was pretty messy from having another documentary (which people were tired of from her) to Froyogate, to the label not pushing any songs on streaming/radio, the coming out as Non Binary. The era not starting till a year after her “comeback” to the aliens it was a wild ride for us lovatics that’s for sure 3
justlore Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Smile the era was a big MESS. The way she did nothing for the album once it was released.
