Imagine Dragon Posted January 20 Posted January 20 This may sound really generic or cliche, but really the most important thing is to find connection with yourself, and feel that internal happiness and confidence. Also crucial is the realization that you are responsible for all of the things happening in your life, and you can not control the feelings and actions from others. That takes time, though. Take all the professional help needed, and don't be hard on yourself. Don't give up, you can win that battle. 1
Bussea Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I suffer with depression and even tried to end my own life a few times. So, I understand that it’s HARD. Something that has always helped me is that staying stimulated as well as being open with people. A lot of my friends suffer from the same issues and when I speak to them they relate to me and can even calm me down in most cases. I love you! Please remember that you’ve came SO far. Being homeless 10 years ago and look where you are now??? Like i’m genuinely so proud of you and you’re only going up. I know you may feel stuck and things are caving in on your but just remember that you are loved and that people are here for you the person you were 10years ago is happy at how far you’ve come and wants to see you go any further. Please reach out to me if you need anything!
Aethereal Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Antidepressant started giving me fast heartbeats. I don't even drink more than can of Cola nowadays in a single day because of that. Some folks can handle it well.

UnusualBoy Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Sorry to hear you're going through that but you'll get better, you'll see!! Some of the advices here actually work, try to theraphy but beyond that, try to stay busy with work, school, do your hobbies. If you don't have hobbies, try to enter lecture clubs, practice some sport, take dancing/swimming classes or anything that you've wanted to try to haven't gotten the chance to. Try to surround yourself with people you love and stay strong, I won't tell you that the journey is gonna be easy and fun but once you overcome those feelings, it's the best thing ever.
monologueNacafe Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Literally nothing has ever worked for me. Depending on your level/type of depression some of the suggestions in here may work. But if you're anything like me I don't know what to tell you unfortunately.
