Trash Posted January 18 Posted January 18 What she meant was clear, yall are either obtuse or take things too literally. 1 1
Bhabylon Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) The fact that some of you are in here defending her ATRL sure loves victimizing mediocre white women lol Edited January 18 by Bhabylon 1 1 1
Katamari Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Imagine coming for God-zzy loins and acting like this a waste of osbourne nut! 1
Tylerbv Posted January 18 Posted January 18 It’s awful how she said it, but I do really believe she meant it in a “in Trump’s mind, this is the truth” way even if she did.. not articulate that. The memes are funny but anyone genuinely mad at her… 2
Maroonx Posted January 18 Posted January 18 What she said was not meant to be an insult or a dig to latinos, it was worded very poorly, but I got what she was trying to say. 1

It's in her subconscious that all Latinos in America are 'the help.' To Trump, yes. She was saying Donald Trump would be kicking out the very same people he exploits to maintain his home and businesses. She worded it horribly and used a racist stereotype she shouldn't have but she wasn't trying to be malicious.
Daddy Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Why are people defending her racist comment? She told the world she's seeing Latin people as the help. She probably put the work in to become better but let's not celebrate a very racist moment in pop culture.

Its wild seeing so many people one after another clearly explain Kelly's obvious intentions, only to be followed with a reply like this 1

lonnie Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The way she says it with such confidence expecting applause for the statement is what does me in every time It also showed how a lot of people who "mean well" and are "trying" could be so out of touch and still believe that those who are different from them are beneath them.

So that they don't feel bad for laughing at her ignorant statement And they don't even need to, it was ignorant and wild, even though her intentions weren't to demean, they pretty much showed what she thought the value of latinos in the U.S. was: primarily domestic labour. No need to defend comments that even she herself realizes now were wrong. 2

Dancehall Queen Posted January 19 Posted January 19 She said this in 2015, but was probably only a few years late? When I was growing up, tons of people made comments that were almost, if not, word for word the same thing. We need Mexican/Latino immigrants to do shitty jobs no one else will do, was said a ton for field jobs too. I remember this stuck out to because it was the first time I saw this idea met with any kind of push back.

I see what you're saying but for me it just exposed her view on Latin people in the US. Go on tho, defend Kelly ******* Osborne

Saint James Posted January 19 Posted January 19 honestly, i don’t think she was speaking from trump’s perspective. i’ve never seen that mentioned until now why would she know any better? seems like a clear slip of bias to me.
Babydoll. Posted January 19 Posted January 19 if i couldn't say "ooooouh.... that's not..." at least thrice a day idk where I would be tbh
