DTF Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Atrl has long decided that true MPGs should not rely on egregious discounts. For example, Born This Way was priced at 99c by Amazon, which was extremely controversial at the time. Anti was given away by Samsung. Now. Ahead of her album rollout, Ariana has presented her new single with 12 purchasable versions at 69c. Is this more controversial or is it capitalizing on success?
jesus del rey Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Why is it so hard to accept that Amazon bought the BTW copies in full price and decided to sell them at a discount price to atttact new customers to their website? Gaga charged them for the full price Thus, its different than discounting your single/album on itunes or wherever Edited January 18 by jesus del rey 8 4
istan4badgalriri Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Rihanna's didn't count towards Billboard or any international chart so there's that 3
Ron Ng Posted January 18 Posted January 18 BTW, the desperate to gain 1M first week And I never believed it was all Amazon's idea. 2 3 2
dawnettakins Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Literally no one cares except bored gays with no lives on atrl. 2
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Mariah discounting Loverboy to .23 cents because it flopping without that discount it would've peaked at around #60.
byzantium Posted January 18 Posted January 18 BTW because it will always have to have an asterisk next to it. Rihanna’s units did not count and discounting to 69 cents is normal. 1 1
